“Hannah is a true inspiration to any student of Irish music of what can be achieved with hard work and a deep passion for the music!”

~Andrew Finn Magill

Irish traditional fiddling and song on the shores of Lake Michigan isn’t only found in Chicago…

Northern Michigan-based musician, Hannah Harris, has a mission to give her audience an honest representation of Irish traditional music by sharing how it fits into culture, history and social life.

She is particularly active in her online community, from offering fiddle lessons to posting instructive and inspirational content for her followers on social media.

Coming from a classical music background, Hannah has now completely converted to Irish traditional music – while she has many influences in the scene, her style could best be described as a cross between Kevin Burke and Dennis Murphy’s fiddling.

As a fiddle instructor, Hannah teaches technique rooted in her classical training in order to build muscle memory so her students can then turn their attentions to developing their personal style.

Her debut album, Tea for Tunes (Aug 7, 2020), is a celebration of the community surrounding Irish music and emulates the calming and energizing experience of enjoying a refreshing cup of tea.

Hannah has her Masters in Ethnomusicology from University College Cork.
