Upon arrival, please notice the city parking lot located across the street from The Lark Theater and The Queens Head Wine Pub on N. Huron Street. We encourage our guests to use these parking spaces. If you are in need of special assistance, you can drive nearer to the entrance. We will be happy to escort you into the theater as well as park your car for you if necessary.
Wheelchair Access
We are happy to assist any customers in need of wheelchair accessibility. The Lark Theater is adaptable and can easily accommodate you. Please let us know ahead of time by calling (231) 445-9096.
Seating
Although the number of tickets is limited per show, The Lark Theater has open seating. The doors will open a ½ hour before showtime. We ask that our guests gracefully share their church pews. Seating is cozy so please be kind and try to create space for others.
Drinks & Dinner
The Lark Lounge opens at 5:30 pm on performance nights. We invite you to enjoy a cocktail at the lounge or make dinner reservations at The Queens Head Wine Pub which also offers a full-bar. Reservations at The Queens Head begin at 5:00 pm. Please call 231.445.7101 to make a dinner reservation.
Drinks In Venue
Want to take a cocktail into the venue? The Lark Theater and Lounge are fully licensed! We ask that you allow us to replace your glass with a plastic one in order to take your beverage into the theater. No food is allowed in the theater. Sorry!
Late Arrivals
Running late? If you arrive after the beginning of a performance, you will not be allowed in until after the intermission. If that is the situation, let’s hope the artist saves the best for last!
Intermission
Almost all shows will have an intermission. The opening performances will run approximately 40 minutes, followed by a 20-minute intermission. The Main performances will follow intermission and run for approximately 1 hour.
Cell Phones
Cell phones are a “no-no”. Please respect all artists by turning off your cell phones during the performances.
I graduated U of M in BFA theatre / Musical theatre and lived and worked in NYC in stage and film. We frequent Cheboygan when we can and am SO EXCITED for all you are doing! As a stage performer in Michigan, it's exciting to see a state of the art performance space come to Cheboygan- BRAVO!
Can I remember what I have done most nights of the week? Can I remember exactly who I went with, what we saw and how it felt to tap your feet, laugh out loud, sing along, get chills or have your heart warmed.....all these gifts come from venues like the Lark Theater.
The Lark Theater is a huge boon not only for the folks of Cheboygan, but musicians from around the country who will no doubt find a warm reception for their art in an intimate, aesthetically appealing performance space. As a performer, it’s been a richly rewarding experience and excellent reminder of why it is we do what we do.
